mom’s pink leather

mood: the Pink Ladies, this neon sign, this fire escape, the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago, Mel C. rockin’ the mic

Do 1980s jackets count as family heirlooms? They do if they are pink leather.

I’ve admired this bubblegum-hued Boy London number of my mom’s since I was too small to fill the sleeves. On my most recent visit to Chicago, she passed the torch, making me happy as a clam. It’s the perfect mix of punk and preppy, and in that perfectly millennial shade of pink that I love oh so much (sorry not sorry).

I’m pairing it with my favourite marching band trousers from Scotch & Soda, an eco-friendly crop top from the sustainable fashion goddesses at Reformation and another family heirloom, this time in the form of a vintage black beaded necklace.

Vintage Boy London leather jacket, Scotch & Soda trousers, Reformation top, Monki sock boots, vintage jewellery.
