mood: these French flight attendants from the 70s, Christian Siriano pre-fall 2016, these cute neon lights.
These trousers are not for the faint of heart. I love them because they are bold, loud and proud. They know who they are, what they want and what they stand for. I think we all could learn a little bit from them.
I got these cheeky pink trousers from ASOS last year. Though I love the ease and convenience of ordering clothes from ASOS, I haven’t made any purchases their recently as I was unsure of their environmental impact. So I investigated their sustainability practises and I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Though far from carbon zero, with their mass production and excessive plastic packaging, they do currently have a recycling programme, aim to reduce carbon emissions by 15% in 2020 and have donated nearly £90k worth of clothes to charity. You can read more about this here.
I’m pairing them with this vintage top that I found at Rockit Vintage on Brick Lane last year. Some days it makes me feel like a pilot, others like a sailor. Either way, it’s definitely got “travel employee” written all over it in the best kind of way.
Do I get extra credit for matching my lippy to my trousers? It’s an equally bold matte hue from Nars and one of my favourites for spring & summer.
Trousers from ASOS (similar), vintage top, shoes from Louise et Cie. Lipstick from Nars.
