mom’s pink leather

Do 1980s jackets count as family heirlooms? They do if they are pink leather.

mood: the Pink Ladies, this neon sign, this fire escape, the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago, Mel C. rockin’ the mic

I have admired this bubblegum-hued Boy London number of my mom’s since I was too small to fill the sleeves. On my most recent visit to Chicago, she passed the torch, making me happy as a clam. It’s the perfect mix of punk and preppy, and in that perfectly millennial shade of pink that I love oh so much (sorry not sorry).

I’m pairing it with my favourite marching band trousers from Scotch & Soda, an eco-friendly crop top from the sustainable fashion goddesses at Reformation and another family heirloom, this time in the form of a vintage black beaded necklace.

Vintage Boy London leather jacket, Scotch & Soda trousers, Reformation top, Monki sock boots, vintage jewellery.
