mood: Chefchaouen (Morocco’s blue city), this vintage Japanese film poster, Mexican street art, a stairway in Santorini.
This vintage blazer is one of those pieces that just lifts my mood the minute I put it on. Rich, saturated royal blue (or “Jessica Walsh blue,” as I like to call it) is probably my favourite colour (though it’s hard to choose just one!), and so I was over the moon when I found it at the Hackney Flea Market.
It’s a vintage jacket by Boss Cat, a London-based brand that to my knowledge sadly no longer exists. I distinctly remember the woman who sold it to me at the flea market because she spun a good yarn and seemed to be genuinely overjoyed that I would be putting the item to good use. I think she would be pleased to see it here on this blog.

I’ve paired it with a blue top in a similar shade, super breezy trousers, my go-to Chelsea boots, blue fishnet socks and red earrings for a pop of a contrasting colour (similar). The necklace, like much of my jewellery, belonged to my grandmother.
The Hackney Flea Market happens bi-weekly, with a supersized market on the 25th of February. Mark your diary to find your own recycled treasures to treasure.
